Biographical information :
I am a graduate student in music composition at the University of Washington. I earned a double degree in music and arts from the University of Washington in June 2000. Subsequently I was awarded his master of music in 2003. I have studied with Joël Durand, Kenneth Benshoof, and Richard Karpen, and am presently studying with Juan Pampin. I also play guitar and have studied with Steven Novacek.
Compositions and research :
My compositions range from acoustic works to computer realized works to pieces for acoustic instruments and electronics. The use of computers is integral to my compositional process and often spawns new and varied departures for developing software and works of music and video. The development of new software has included applications for the creation of interactive musical scores, video processing and sequencing, digital animation, and more, all redefining the paradigms of digital art and music creation.
